Dear Friends,
Accept greetings from our 100 and more children of The Good Shepherd Home. It is so exciting for us to know that anywhere in the world people can read about us through our beautiful website.
Taking care of these children has been a real blessing, though so demanding. My dream came true. It all started when I saw this nine year old boy sleeping on the streets of our Capital city of Yaounde. He was shivering with a very high fever. I went over to him and asked him why he was sleeping there. He told me that it was where he was staying. As I spoke with him some ten other children came by. These children all told the same story. I could not believe all the stories that these sick and hungry children were telling me. From there I knew God was asking me to be their mother.
The Good Shepherd Home was created to take care of all these orphan children who have found their home is on the streets. Every human being needs to be loved and cared for. Our children from the Home have a different story now to tell. They have found a real Home which welcomes and loves them. We need your support to keep this home going. More and more children keep coming in, and we can never say no to any of them. We have never received any help from our government. You, our dear friends, are the people who keep this home going.
I pray that God will bless you as you consider being a part of our family.
